Our Patients' Most FAQ About Physical Therapy:

  • How do I arrange an appointment?

If your physician gives you a referral for physical therapy, simply call our office for an appointment. Our office staff will get all the necessary information from you and assist you with an appointment.

  • What should I bring with me on my first visit?

For your first visit you will need your insurance card (primary and secondary if you have one). If you have any medical reports, MRI or X-ray results, you may bring those as well, but they are not necessary. Additionally, if you are utilizing any type of brace, splint, or assistive devices, those should come with you also.

  • What should I expect on my first visit?

On your first visit, your physical therapist will perform an evaluation. Based on the physical therapist's findings, a clinical judgment as to your diagnosis and prognosis will be made. A specific and individualized treatment program will then be developed aimed towards resolving any problems and/or deficits and achieving your goals.

  • What types of interventions may I receive?

The interventions you receive will depend on what the physical therapist finds in the evaluation. Our intervention programs include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength and conditioning, use of modalities, gait and balance training, education in health and wellness, ergonomics, assistance with assistive devices, shoe wear, braces and orthotics, and much more.

  • How long is a typical treatment session?

Plan on 45 minutes to an hour for your initial visit. After that, a treatment session lasts around 1 to 1.5 hours on average. Each course of therapy depends upon the diagnosis and the severity of your injury.

  • Can I use the facility after discharge from therapy?

Discharged patients will have the option to join our wellness program after having completed therapy. Our wellness program gives you access to the facility's gym so that you may continue with your therapeutic exercise program developed during your course of physical therapy.

Our 7,000+ square feet state of the art facility offers exercise equipment, lockers and showers, wheelchair accessible restrooms, and more.
